On Saturday evening I made a surprise visit to St. Anne’s to celebrate the evening Mass. This gave
me the opportunity to speak to those who were present.
I am in the process of speaking to Bishop Stephen to gain permission to temporarily say four Sun-
day Masses to allow a period of time where discussions can be held across the four parishes in order
to look at the current timings of Mass on Sundays and where they take place. I am sure that you
will appreciate that this is not an easy task to undertake and that I am very conscious that each
parish is protective of the Mass times they currently have. This is why open dialogue is necessary.
I ask that over the next few weeks and months we can all pray for each other and for the process
that we will undertake. I will also ask that we are vigilant when it comes to thinking of our needs
and the needs of others.
