Congratulations to Kath & George Hagan on their Golden Wedding Anniversary

Roger EleyNews

The Intention for the mass on Sunday 23rd April was Kath & George Hagan’s Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Kath and George are “founder members” of the parish and have served our church in many ways over the years. George is currently an alter server and Father Kelly’s “handyman” whilst Kath is a member of the Finance Committee and is helping arrange this year’s ladies pilgrimage to Walsingham.

As always at St Anne’s there was a celebration in the Hall after mass with a buffet, drinks and anniversary cake.

Congratulations from everyone at St Anne’s and we all wish you both many more years together.

St Anne’s Welcomes Five Converts Into The Church

Roger EleyNews

With great joy we welcome Clare Hepple, Michelle Glass, Rebecca Shanks, Rachael Davidson and Vanessa Graham into our parish.

During the Easter Vigil Mass on 15th April they were received into the Church. We admire their courage and commitment having  attended weekly meetings and instructions since September last year.

We pray that the Lord touches them with his peace and contentment and trust they will feel at peace in their new spiritual home.

As usual for St Anne’s a buffet was held after the mass and Fr Kelly said a few words thanking the sponsors, members of the parish who had helped in the preparations and he particularly thanked Rev. Deacon Tom Rooke who helped with the weekly meetings.
